Fólaman is a quintet that was formed when 5 classical musicians began playing folk music together. Not only do they play traditional folk music, but also music which they have composed by themselves! They know each other from the Faroese music school in Tórshavn, where they regularly play music together and hang out. The combination of instruments in the Fólaman quintet is somewhat unusual, and this is what makes the group so interesting.
